CIA releases 13 million classified files on its website – including UFO files
Sadly for extraterrestrial fans, the files are a bit lacking in alien autopsies and crashed flying saucers – but there’s plenty to stoke the fires of conspiracy theories.
The records DO include UFO sightings – and records of ‘psychic experiments’ such as the Stargate programme, where the CIA worked with people such as Uri Geller.
Uri Geller told Metro.co.uk today, ‘I am very surprised that they released such information – simply because my work continued for a long time with the CIA.
The archive – consisting of 800,000 files – has been made available after repeated freedom of information requests.
Many were previously accessible, but only on four computers inside the National Archives in Maryland, located at the back of the library.
Among the records are tests conducted with celebrity psychic Uri Geller – where he copied pictures drawn in another room.
CIA researchers said he, ‘demonstrated his paranormal perceptual ability in a convincing and unambiguous manner.
Geller says today, ‘It’s hard for me to believe – I find it extraordinary that they would let this information out. They studied me for months, the CIA at Stamford Research Institute, I was also tested at weapons centres in Maryland. They were very convinced after the experiments, that I had to go through under controlled conditions.’
‘There’s no way to cheat there, or to do magic. My powers are real.’
‘The CIA realised that what I did is real, they probably had a deal with Mossad to get me out of Israel. I worked for them for a long time. I started the remote viewing programme for the CIA.’
‘Remote viewers have high intuition – they have very very powerful consciousness. It is a very cheap way to get information – all you need are a few psychics who sit in a darkened room in front of a computer. They send their minds through space and time, and bring back information. They bring in valid information – which can be checked out. You cannot hide from remote viewers.’
‘Psychic research is still going on today – but it went deep black. I can tell you that many intelligence agencies around the world, such as MI6, they all are engaging remote viewers. It causes controversy. I have been attacked throughout my career.’
Nigel Watson, author of the UFO Investigations Manual, said last year, ‘At least 10,000 UFO reports collected by the US, Project Blue Book, have been put online and many other governments have released their UFO files.
‘So we have an embarrassment of riches yet these have been largely ignored by UFO researchers, yet they could provide lots of information about types of sightings and their patterns over time and place.
‘The problem is alien saucers and body parts remain as elusive now as they always have been, and it frustrates the hell out of conspiracy mongers and ufologists.
