This Morning: Uri Geller reveals how England can beat Sweden… and it involves spoons
Nervous about England’s quarter-final match against Sweden this weekend?
Well, spoon-bending ‘psychic’ Uri Geller surprised This Morning viewers today (July 6), telling everyone how they can help inspire the national team to victory.
“I’m not a guru. I’m not a prophet. But I am a believer in mind power and motivation and inspiration. I believe in mental and positive attitude,” he told presenters Amanda Holden and Rylan Clark-Neal.
“ITV viewers, get off the seat. I want you to touch this football…
“Put your hands on the football and visualise England beating Sweden. England will win. England will win, win, win. Send your mind powers and energy. We’re going to win. I just have good feelings about tomorrow – I’m not a miracle worker, but I visualise it.”
That wasn’t the only trick. Uri brought it all the way back to the spoons.
“I want England to score goals, and you people at home touching the football, you can even touch a spoon,” he confidently said.
“Tomorrow, should we hold spoons up before the match and try to bend them? Is that what you’re saying?” Amanda asked.
“Absolutely,” Uri replied. “11 minutes. 11 minutes before the match, hold the spoons up, look at the screen, and focus on our players. Believe in them. Visualise them, and they will score goals.”
