With Newcastle fans waiting on a Premier League decision, Uri Geller is hoping lightning will strike in the same place for a third time.

He claims to have been the Toon Army’s lucky charm twice before.

Now, Uri Geller is hoping to make it a hat-trick as he urged the Premier League to approve the Saudi-backed consortium’s takeover of Newcastle United.

In a rare intervention, the world-renowned paranormalist and spoon bender said he believes brighter times are around the corner for Magpies supporters.

The 73-year-old, who started following the Magpies through his Toon-mad solicitor and best friend, said: “My intuition tells me that the Premier League will find it very difficult to stop. There is no doubt in my mind that it will be sold.

“My reasoning is very simple. Beside psychic, the British Government has huge contracts with Saudi Arabia so there can’t be some kind of hypocrisy here.

“I believe Mike Ashley will get his £300m and the club will be sold. I have good feelings about it.”
